I make a safe house save after each mission to be sure, maybe excessive but I never want to lose my danged progress : ) Moral of the story, make a safe house save before you exit the game or you'll lose progress next time the game loads up (unless you then go to the game menu and load the autosave at end of the list). The retry texts you get for save-points during missions is invaluable but the way the game doesn't load your autosaves is kind of Ridiculous and leads to people misunderstanding and frustration that they are having to repeat the same mission over and over until you make a safe house save, if you'd exited the game after only autosaving each time. The save isn't called autosave either but is at the bottom of the long list. You have no option to load the autosave until you get into and actual loaded save game and then you can from the game menu. We're having to repeat the missions and why? Because when you load the game up the next time it loads the last safe house save, not the autosave. Safeguards you against overwriting the wrong save I guess. Yeah, does this for every first autosave of the session.
